What is Medical Acupuncture?

Medical Acupuncture, or Dry Needling, involves the use of fine needles which are inserted into the skin and muscle. It is an adaptation of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture using current knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology. Acupuncture stimulates the nerves in the skin and muscle to increase the release of the body's natural painkillers (Endorphins and Serotonin), this reduces levels of muscle tension and pain.
